Display #3:  The Hydroplate Globe / fossil clams


Dr. Walter T. Brown has developed a scientific model proposing how the global flood of Noah occurred, and why it will never occur again, just as the Lord promised.  This globe has the major geological features of earth mapped out on it, including submarine features such as the mid oceanic ridge. 
Based on Genesis 7:11, Dr. Brown has suggested that underground chambers of water, containing roughly 2/3rds of what is now in our oceans, broke open at the onset of the flood.  The erosion caused by the rising waters eroded the overlying  granite crustal plates.  The removal of the overlying crust allowed the underlying basalt crust (now the ocean floor) to spring up from the lack of weight.  This formed what is now our mid oceanic ridge, from which the continents then slid away from, downhill, to their current positions. 

It all happened rapidly, with the continents achieving speeds of up to 45 miles per hour!  No wonder the Himalayans were formed!  This answers questions all other models have failed to explain.  Plate tectonics, for example, has no mechanism or force to move continents, yet supposedly it's been doing it for millions of years!




This globe has continental "hydroplates" cut out to the shape of the continental shelves, not the shorelines of the continents.  By far the best fit of the hydroplates is against the base of the mid oceanic ridge.




Some might scoff at the suggestion that there has been a world wide flood, but in fact the evidence for it is nothing less than overwhelming.  Take the fossil record for example.  Billions times Billions of fossils around the globe, each one a small miracle that met the precise circumstances needed for fossilization.  Each of those fossils had to have been buried rapidly.  What happens when something dies?  It's eaten by scavengers, and it rots.  Very, very quickly you get dust, not fossils!  They have to be buried rapidly.

As an example, consider these fossil clams.  These were clams that were buried alive.  How do we know?  They are buried together in seams tens of feet thick by the thousands, sometimes millions!  Clams open when they die!  The only way you'll get these numbers of fossilized clams in the closed position is to bury them alive!

These particular clams came from the Paluxy riverbed in Glen Rose, Texas.  However, in 1927 Noel Odell first documented finding fossilized sea shells near the very top of Mount Everest.  Later on Sir Edmund Hillary, on his famous climb, verified not only that there were fossilized sea shells near the top - but that the top three thousand feet of Mount Everest was covered in fossilized closed clams in seams up to ten feet thick!

It is a logical conclusion that if the highest known point on planet earth was clearly underwater at one time, that the entire planet was submerged.  Oh yes - there has been a global flood.
