Creation Science Notes...This page is reserved for brief, easy to read scientific studies. I will change them as time allows me. Please be patient as I prefer to exhaustively and meticulously research each note before posting it. New information comes up almost daily so it's hard to keep up. You can look through previous notes here , listed by date and order of appearance. By all means, feel free to send me a question or request a study on a certain subject and I will attempt to include it in these notes here.July 2000This month, we will continue our studies in time and I would like to take an aside here, in relation to time. All photos in the next several lessons are courtesy of Creation Evidences Museum in Glen Rose, Texas. Visit them if you get the chance, and thanks to Dr. Carl Baugh for help getting some fantastic shots. If, as the bible seems to imply, the earth, universe, and life all around us is young, why do we have things like fossils? Don't fossils take long periods of time to form? One would it expect it to take at least thousands of years, hundreds at the very least. Yet, examine these photos of a fossilized human foot:
The boot and fossilized foot was found in a riverbed in Iran, Texas, 1990. The boot was dated by its manufacturer as being made in the early 1950's. This means that this entire foot became petrified in less than forty years! The detail in the preservation of the foot is stunning:
Even the bones in their cross section show complete preservation of even the bone marrow:
Even more mysterious is that doctors, using a technique on the boot
called spiral CT scanning, were able to identify all the leg bones, almost
all the way to the knee, inside the boot! They were able to identify
what was liquified flesh caused by tremendous impact. This poor person
when they died had obviously fallen from tremendous height, literally compressing
the entire lower leg into the boot and liquifying their flesh. Now remember,
this foot is from a person who died less than fifty years ago. They
might have fallen from a high cliff, but an airplane is just as reasonable!
